Traditionally hot stones have been used to provide ‘healing energy’ to the mind when placed on the key meridian points of the body. The addition of heat from the hot stones provides the “extra layer” of relaxation that massage alone can’t. Heat provides more muscle relaxation for the relief of tightness and aches and pains. Long smooth gliding stokes combined with just enough pressure so that it is deeply relaxing to soothe you without being painful.
Hot Stone Massage is an ancient technique which has been perfected over centuries into its current form. Smooth stones made of basalt volcanic rock are warmed in water in advance to the correct temperature. Basalt stones retain heat well which means long lasting warmth throughout your massage.
