Originally formed as the Russian Relief Association, St Sergius Aged Care focuses on providing care for elderly Russians and other people of Slavic backgrounds. Over a period of more than 50 years, St Sergius Aged Care has evolved into a large and modern aged-care facility.
The Aged Care services available at St Sergius Aged Care include social support groups, centre-based respite, home care packages, dementia care, independent living units, residential care, palliative care, and more. Every room is fully furnished with a telephone and a TV, and all rooms in the new wing feature private bathrooms, individual air conditioning, and a nurse call system. The independent living units are self-contained with one or two bedrooms.
St Sergius Aged Care is located next door to a Russian Orthodox Church and there is a chapel located onsite. Dietitian-endorsed Russian recipes are prepared on premises, and both English and Russian television programmes are available.
