Then came EE, also it offered what I needed. Casual EVE. I am not a carebear by any means, I've done my time at large, low, null, sov, WH, it all. I've been in nigh-endless wars that never seem to really change front lines that much, I have been the winner, I have been the failure, I've had huge profits, I have gotten a freighter popped. EVE is enjoyable in so many facets, and some of my finest memories still revolve around blopdrops, sitting round orbiting a blop for seven hours simply to have two minutes of popping through the Cyno for a twenty second battle and running out to regroup. To lots of people, that's a lot of wasted time, I did not even get loot.
EE doesn't need to be EO. Bubbles are a error. Taking away safe afk autopilot is a mistake. We don't want another EO, we've already GOT EO. SO MANY OF US are tired of the continuous time investment and we can not do it anymore, even if we would love to. Playing EE has left me need to look at my EO account again and just twist around in my dreadnought, though it is still around (can't remember where I parked it tbh, might be long gone if I parked it at a corp base, which I am fine with).Allow me to start off by saying I always wanted to play with EVE online, but never did. To innovative, grind fest nightmirror, and waaaaay to much focus was needed along with a learning curve which blew my head off.
Devs Sold us the notion: When EVE Echoes was announced as a"Condensed" version on cellular, I got super excited! Just a couple of buttons, easy learning curve yet still complicated enough to be enjoyable, and cartoring to"Mobile" players using AFK travel (This was a selling point from the devs themselves!) You are able to AFK, or in case you become disconnected, phone call, wifi, or even real life issues suddenly require your attention. They SOLD THIS GAME as a mobile game with the guarantee it might cater to phone users. We did not make this up in our little heads, so they told us flat out,"AFK" was a thing. They even emphasized that if you simply have a few minutes, log on, then ship your ship some where to perform a quick delivery, log off.
Release: So as soon as the game was released, the next for months went by in a blink! This game was entertaining, and guess what, you still died in Null sec to a great many things/senariors*. * PVP was still a danger but nonetheless exciting to research and have the"Risk" vs"Reward" platform, and even more great news, EVE ECHOES was the fastest growing Mobile game because clash of clans!
Update: So the night it was reported that Warp Gates were bugged and you were supposed to be ambushed by players this whole time, my heart sank. What? You can't AFK travel ? Why? And more importantly,"What the hell are you offering to counter this?" (Well EO players chimed in, scout ahead) Are you kidding me? Its a PHONE GAME! (Sure people do it, but that is not a"Phone" game or what the devs SOLD us.
